Dr. Anita DeLongis

Anita DeLongis, Ph.D. is Professor in the Department of Psychology at UBC and coordinator of the programme in health psychology. She was trained in clinical and personality psychology with expertise in stress, coping, and social support in couples. She has published extensively on the use of structured diary research methods and has completed numerous studies using the method herself. She has been publishing on stress and coping among couples, both young and old, for over 20 years. She has published numerous papers on the role of personality in coping, as well as caregiving for a chronically ill spouse.
