Dr. Colin A. Depp

Colin A. Depp, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Stein Institute for Research on Aging at the University of California, San Diego and Lecturer in the Department of Gerontology at San Diego State University. Dr. Depp’s primary research interests are behavioural interventions for late-life bipolar disorder and the determinants of healthy aging. Dr. Depp is the PI of two grants funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, and co-PI on a number of other federally-funded projects pertaining to geriatric mental health. He has been on the editorial Board of Bipolar Disorders and the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry and has received investigator awards from the International Congress of Geriatric Psychoneuropharmacology, NIMH NCDEU, and American Psychological Association. Dr. Depp has published over 75 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters, and he has co-edited the book “The Handbook of Successful Cognitive and Emotional Aging” published the American Psychiatric Publishing, Inc.
